After going 3-0 down against England despite a great batting display by Pakistan's top order batsmen the question have raised about Sarfraz Ahmad's captaincy. The way he led the team throughout this season raises question marks. According to stats, Pakistan have lost 19 out of 22 international matches they have played recently.

Five reasons why Sarfraz Ahmad needs to be replaced as a captain:

Here are the five reason why Sarfraz Ahmad should be replaced by a new captain.

1- Poor batsman

We all know that Sarfraz Ahmad has not performed well with the bat since a long time. In the modern era of cricket a wicketkeeper should be a solid batsman as other teams have. India have MS Dhoni Australia has Tim Pine South Africa have Quinton de Kock England have Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler. Almost all of them are world class batsmen.

2- Lack of power hitting

He comes to bat at number 7 at most of the occasions when team is looking to accelerate the run rate either it's first inning or second inning of the match. Sarfraz Ahmad lacks the power hitting ability which is required in the last overs. Sarfraz Ahmad last hit a six in Feb 2018 against Scotland. This clearly shows how much he is able to smoke the ball out of the park when needed.

3- Poor game awareness

Many of you will not agree with me but he really has poor game awareness. He can't use his bowlers well in the crunchy situations. He didn't managed his bowlers well even in the final of ICC Champions trophy 2017 final. India had lost 5 wickets for just 50 runs, Hardick Pandya came in to bat. He is the one who plays spinners really well. He smoked Pakistani spinners all around the park but Sarfraz Ahmad kept using part time spinners to reach India 158 until Hasan Ali returned to the attack and got rid of Hardick Pandya.
Same happened in the 3rd ODI against England. Shoaib Malik was brought into the attack at crucial time. He took 1 wicket for 4 runs in 2 overs. After that he was not used for even a single over. Junaid Khan and Imad Wasim who were leaking runs frequently, we're preferred over the experienced all-rounder.
In the same match English all-rounder Sam Curran (who founded an excellent partnership with Ben Stokes, which took the match away from Pakistan) was run-out but Sarfraz Ahmad even didn't appeal for it.

4- Creates extra pressure on team-mates

He is not as famous for his batting, wicketkeeping or leading skills as he is for his shouting skills. He keeps shooting every now and then at the fielders to create that extra bit of pressure. Most of the times he is found advising and shooting on the bowlers that is totally needless at times.

5- Interference in the selection

Agree with me or not, he is the man who always interferes in the team selection. Although it's chief selector's jobs but he selects the players on personal liking and disliking.
The way Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal, Wahan Riaz, Fawad Alam, Salman Butt, Abid Ali and many more young guys have performed in domestic circuit, they definitely deserve a place in the team but Sarfraz Ahmad has always opposed them. Especially any wicketkeeper batsman who performs well to earn his place in the national side is dropped without providing proper chances.
We have seen it in the case of Kamran Akmal and most recently Abid Ali who is being axed from World Cup squad without playing a single game.
Thing are not going well in Pakistan Cricket Board once again. As we have seen some of the great talent is being ruined on the basis of personal liking and disliking. If these thing are not looked after right now than the future of Pakistan cricket looks darker at the moment.
