Sri Lanka cricket board announced ODI and T20I squad for Pakistan Tour. Lahiru Thirimanne and Dasun Shanaka will lead the ODI and T20I teams since Dimuth Karunaratne and Lasith Malinga refused to tour Pakistan over security concerns.

Highlights
- Lahiru Thirimanne will lead the Sri Lanka in ODIs in the absence of Dimuth Karunaratne

- Sri Lanka will play three ODIs in Karachi and three T20Is in Lahore from September 25 to October 9.
SLC To Reassess Security in Pakistan
Prime Minister's office has found warnings of possible terrorist threats on Sri Lankan team while touring Pakistan from a reliable source. Hence, SLC has been advised to take "extreme care" and reassess the security situations in Pakistan before embarking on the said tour.
SLC has sought the assistance of Sri Lanka government to reassess the security situation in Pakistan.
