Sri Lanka vs New Zealand 1st T20I Preview

Sri Lanka is all set to take on New Zealand in 1st T20I off three. The match promises to be a thriller as we all know, how good these two teams can be when it comes to T20I Cricket.
New Zealand cricket team's morale should be high at the moment, and that's because after suffering from the loss in the 1st Test match of this tour, they have come back strongly. In the 2nd test they beat the hosts quite convincingly, and yesterday, in a practice T20 they beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be feeling relieved as the Kiwis have rested their regular captain Kane Williamson and main strike bowler, Trent Boult. New Zealand will be under the new captain. Kiwis Cricket Board has given this responsibility to their senior fast bowler Tim Southee.
Sri Lanka is capable of beating any team on their day. They will go into the series opener with their full strength XI. The prime fast bowler Lasith Malinga will lead the home side. Kusal Perera and Niroshan Dickwella will be the key men for the hosts.
With T20 World Cup 2020 around the corner, both the team will want to build a winning momentum from here on.
The visitors will go into the series with an inexperienced squad, and that should be a plus point for the hosts.
