I Think Sarfraz Shouldn't Have Been Test Captain: Shahid Afridi

In an interview with the website, Pakpassion.net, Shahid Afridi Said that Sarfraz Ahmed shouldn't have been test captain. Captaining a team is in all three formats is a tough ask. Shahid Afridi quoted, "When Sarfaraz was going to play in South Africa, I told him to announce retirement (from Tests). He said maybe he would, but he didn't. I think he shouldn't have been captain in Tests after that series because it's tough to be captain in all three formats."
Sarfraz Ahmed was handed test captaincy after Misbah Ul Haq announced retirement from test cricket. He became the 32nd player to lead Pakistan in test cricket. Under his leadership, Pakistan cricket team has played ten tests so far. They have won four, lost five and one ended in a draw.
Earlier, the rumors were around that Azhar Ali will replace Sarfraz Ahmed as test skipper, while Sarfraz Ahmed will continue to lead Pakistan cricket team in white-ball cricket. His captaincy in the shorter formats also came under threat after Pakistan cricket team's poor show at ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It was said that Imad Wasim might replace him in limited-overs. But, Pakistan cricket board (PCB) announced that he will continue to lead Pakistan in the shorter format of the game for now.

When You Reduce The Quantity, The Quality Increases: Shahid Afridi

Pakistan cricket board recently introduced the new structure in Pakistan domestic cricket. They reduced the number of teams to six and introduced regional cricket instead of department cricket. Talking about the implementation of the new structure in Pakistan's domestic structure, Shahid Afridi said, "Any system needs time to function. This system should be supported. I'm in favor of 6 teams when you reduce quantity then quality increases. The Competition will increase, players will get good money & financial support. I'm hopeful good talent will come out of this."
Pakistan's next Test assignment is in November 2019 when they tour Australia for three T20Is and two Test matches.
The chances of rare that Sarfraz Ahmed will continue to lead Pakistan in whites.
