Pakistan vs England 2nd ODI : Pakistan fell 12 runs short of historic run chase

Pakistan fell short by 12 runs of what would have been a historic run chase last night against England at Ages Bowl.
Sarfraz Ahmad won the toss and asked England to bowl first. England took full advantage of it and slammed Pakistani toothless bowling attack all around the park.
Openers Jason Roy (87) and Johny Bairstow (54) gave a positive start which was utilized smartly by Eoin Morgan (74*) and Jos Buttler (110*). England piled up 162 runs in last 14 overs. Buttler reached his eighth ton of just 50 balls. England finished on 373/3 of aloted 50 overs.
Pakistan were in the hunt from the very first over.

Fakhar Zaman was outstanding once again. He (138) along with Babar Azam (50) amassed 135 runs partnership which led Pakistan to the belief that they could chase this big total. But as soon as both of them departed in successive overs the match started sliding from Pakistan's hands. Asif Ali (51) played some big shots but he could not finish the game for Pakistan. Sarfraz Ahmad remained unbeaten on 42*. Pakistan scored 361/8 in their 50 overs quota. Which meant hosts won it by just 12 runs.
Micky Arthur was confident that the way Pakistani batsmen showed the character in a big run chase, it was encouraging for his side and they would be the team to watch out for in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
