Mohammad Hasnain Makes His CPL Debut Memorable

Teenage fast-bowler Mohammad Hasnain made his CPL debut memorable by picking three wickets. He was the surprise pick in this year's auction. TKR management called it the most exciting pick of the season. His raw pace proved too be too good for the opposition in Port Of Spain, Trinidad.

TKR captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to bat 1st on a tricky Port Of Spain surface. Knight's openers, Lendel Simmons and Sunil Narine, departed early for 9 and 0 runs respectively. Later on, wicket-keeper batsman, Dinesh Ramdin, Jimmy Neesham and Kieron Pollard played good knocks of 33, 33 and 47 respectively. Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) finished on 152/7 in 20 overs. For St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SNP), Sheldon Cottrell bowled beautifully. He conceded only 13 runs in his four overs and picked up three wickets. In the chase, none of the SNP batsmen could resist except Fabian Allen (30) and Usama Mir (24). St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SNP) managed to put 141/10 in 19.4 overs. For Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), Jimmy Neesham and Mohammad Hasnain picked up three wickets each, while K Pierre and S Prasanna got two and one scalps respectively. TKR won the match by 11 runs to open their account in CPL T20 2019. Jimmy Neesham of TKR won the man of the match award for his three wickets and important 33 runs.
